Benjamin had always wanted to set a Shakespeare poem and fell in love with this particular passage from Cymbeline the moment he read it.
He was hugely excited to be given the opportunity to work on the recording with Simon Russell Beale, arguably the finest Shakespearean actor of our generation (who also just happens to have a beautiful singing voice, which made him absolutely perfect for the project).
