Benjamin (along with both of his brothers) is one of the World's biggest Eurovision Song Contest fans.
Perhaps this is because he was born in 1974, the year ABBA won in Brighton.
Or perhaps it's just because he is a bit sad...
He has never missed a competition, and was lucky enough to0 watch it live in Birmingham in 1998, the year that Dana International won with "Diva."
In 1999, Benjamin entered the contest with a song he had written with palywright, Sir Arnold Wesker. The song, "Shone With the Sun" was considered too classical to make it to the final stages, but Arnold was so pleased with it that he played it as one of hos Desert Island Dics in 2007.
Each year, Benjamin hosts a Eurovision Song Contest party, complete with a 10-foot, wall-mounted scoreboard adorned with flags from all the participating countries.
